Does anyone know of an effective anti-dandruff hair shampoo for black women's hair?

In the past, I have used selsun blue, head and shoulders, neutrogena, they all turn out to be a waste of money!Does anyone know of an effective anti-dandruff hair shampoo for black women's hair?
I have black hair and have had this problem. I went through so many products and grease that did not work. What I have been using for the last two months is Aveda Brilliant Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. The Brilliant line is made for textured and chemically treated hair (I have a relaxer). I wash my hair once a week and leave the conditioner in for 5 mins. I then follow with a deep conditioner and I use Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment and leave that in my hair for 20 mins. For grease, I use Aveda Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade. I also never put heat in my hair without protecting it (I use Motions heat protectant or Aveda Brilliant Damage Control, Isoplus Oil Sheen very lightly, and Smooth n Shine Polishing Spray). Good Luck!Does anyone know of an effective anti-dandruff hair shampoo for black women's hair?
maybe try that new pantene idk if its for dandruff though
im in cosmetology school. and most of our clients come in and get the INDIGO peppermint dandruff shampoo. it works really good. and its hard to find in the stores so you will probably have to purchase it online.
you should use blue vu. my best friend uses it and says that it works, i don't have dandriff so i don't know but it might.
Have you ever tried Nioxin. They make eveything for your hair. I use there product in my head and my daughters. I dont have dandruff but my daughters did before I started using it in thier heads. Its not cheap but it works.
try Sulfur 8 and follow it with the Sulfur 8 grease/oil. It has a menthol smell to it, but it feels really nice on the scalp and is medicated to treat scalp conditions such as dandruff
Joico has an awesome anti-dandruff shampoo out there . Dandruff is flaking scalp so be cautious when choosing treatment. Alot of products out there use wax to coat the scalp, thus providing ';instant'; releif. not good. Joico will heal %26amp; remove the dandruff over 2 weeks. Once gone, continue to use to prevent it coming back. It will look like getting worse at first, but its just the shampoo removing the flakes.

What kinds of hair shampoo are there that does not leave residue?

A Clarifying Shampoo removes and doesn't leave residue.

Tea Tree doesn't leave residue and it stimulates the scalp.

Nioxin also removes and doesn't leave residueWhat kinds of hair shampoo are there that does not leave residue?
Nuetrogena has a shampoo that is made specifically for removing residue from hair. I haven't used it in years so I kind of forgot the exact name of it. It is a clear formula and comes in a clear bottle ( or it used to) and it smells really good. What kinds of hair shampoo are there that does not leave residue?
Any clarifying shampoo will not leave a residue. It actually strips any build up. It doesn't have any conditioning agents so it will not leave residue on the hair. It gets hair squeaky clean.

Im not sure of the name, but at the chemist they sell ones and they are green and have tea tree oil in them, they are fantastic and if you have dandruff it eliminates it.
All shampoo leaves build up..A Clairfying shampoo won't...It's made to take out build up..BUT don't use it everyday.
all of them

are you not washing it out properly?

What hair shampoo/conditioner suits my asian straight but frizzy and dry hair?

I love using Redken's All Soft on my clients, they have awesome deep conditioners too! What hair shampoo/conditioner suits my asian straight but frizzy and dry hair?
Try Dove's new Frizz Control Therapy line. Their milky shampoos lightly moisturize frizzy hair but don't weigh it down.

  • Is there such thing as a damaged and coloured hair shampoo?

my hair is both coloured and damaged, i like to keep my hair looking nice but if i use a damaged shampoo the colour tends to wash out really quickly but if i use just a coloured shampoo then its just taking care of the colour, not the split ends and damaged bit. is there such a shampoo that is affordable that is for coloured and damaged hair?Is there such thing as a damaged and coloured hair shampoo?
yes there is. I have the same kind of problem and there's this hair mask that helps damaged and colored hair called Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. It's AMAZING! Like just with one use it feels like your hair has never been damaged but it doesn't fade coloring.

Which hair shampoo would go better with my hair?

I'm considering Aussie and TRESemme. I heard that TRESemme works better for people with thick hair, and I have somewhat thin hair, that's wavy. Herbal Essences is utter crap, and I'm looking for something that will make my hair more voluminous, shinier, healthier, and something that will help with split ends. My hair gets greasy really easily.Which hair shampoo would go better with my hair?
Drugstore shampoos and conditioners are cheap for a reason. They are full of harsh chemicals that strip color and natural oils from your hair and cause damage. They are also full of wax the coats the outside of the hair shaft. But out of these Pantene is the absolute worst and Suave/HE are next. They use the most wax and the harshest chemicals. If you must use a drugstore brand use Aussie. They use natural ingredients instead of all the chemicals and wax.Which hair shampoo would go better with my hair?
Try to go to a beauty supply and buy John Frieda or a better product like TIGI, and look for a product that says its not greasy. If your hair is greasy, then there may be nothing you can do about it except shower and wash your hair every day.

What would help with greasy hair is to not condition all the time, as that adds moisture and grease to your hair.

What's a really good hair shampoo that makes your hair grow faster?

please help thnxWhat's a really good hair shampoo that makes your hair grow faster?
i have a problem with my hair too, its short and uneven so i cant cut it yet, and i have horrible bangs. ive just been clipping them back and eating really healthy. truthfully, there is no shampoo that will make your hair grow, you just have to wait. those ';fast growing'; shampoos have tons of chemicals that make your hair look really bad, and grow even slower. just drink lots of water, eat healthy, take a multivitamin, and wait a few months. it shouldnt take too longWhat's a really good hair shampoo that makes your hair grow faster?
You should try Mane N' Tail Shampoo (found at Walmart, $12 for both 32 oz. shampoo and conditioner). I wanted to grow my hair long last summer--my hair used to grow super slow too-- so I tried it. My hair went from 2 to 6 inches below my shoulders in 3 months! Thats a total of 2 inches a month! The average growth is only 1/2 inch per month (talk about an improvement)! No one could even believe how long my hair had grown in that short period of time. I could tell it was the shampoo, because when I decided to try another, my hair stopped growing as fast. Anyway, you should definately try it!
there is no shampoo or conditioner that makes your hair grow faster.

there is stimulation shampoos and conditioner which increase more blood flow making it more possibly for hair growth.but sadly all this stuff that says it works...really doesnt. im sorry.
I don't know if there are any that does what you are asking. But I know if you cut your every so often (many weeks) it will help your hair to grow. So the more you cut your hair or trim it it will grow faster. It also is good so that your ends don't become dry and split.
A handful hibiscus leaves grounded to a paste with a teaspoon of shikakai is wonderful shampoo and conditioner. To Know more about your hair http://tipsfromruby-hairgrow.blogspot.co鈥?/a> will help you.
