How often are you suppost to wash your hair with shampoo? and do you have to use conditionar? and is it bad for your hair to wash it everyday? for normal hair. How often should you wash your hair with shampoo?
I try not to touch my hair with my fingers throughout the day and I can go up to 3 days without washing. Since my hair is long, I let the natural oils stay in a little longer, it won't hurt. As long as it doesn't look oily it's okay, otherwise wash more often. Sometimes I just wash the roots of my hair in the sink with a gentle shampoo and that will make it easy for a last minute fix. On the 3rd day when I wash my hair I actually wash the roots very good and then rinse and repeat with a litte more shampoo. I use a very rich conditioner but use it sparingly, focusing on the tips and working it through to the ends. I try to use less hair product because that can cause buildup of oils and flakes and cause me to have to wash more often. How often should you wash your hair with shampoo?

i wash my hair every other day with both shampoo and conditioner if i wait to long my hair tends to get all greasy and tangeled
My Hair is really thick and I wash it every other day. Any longer and I can't stand it.
Since your a black female like me we can wash our hair once a week, or every two weeks. You have to remember our hair is very different so we can't wash it every single day. We naturally have dry hair so washing it everyday will strip it of it's natural oils, and cause breakage. The other races have more oils in their hair so they have to wash it constantly because it will get oily and look stringy. We lack these oils so we don't have to wash our hair as much. I usually will wash mine once a week, and I recommend that you should do the same, but as a black female two weeks is the farthest you should go without washing it. As far as the conditioner is concerned, you should use it after you shampoo your hair. Conditioner helps to keep your hair in a healthy state. It goes hand and hand with shampoo. I hope I haven't offended anyone with what I'm saying. I'm just trying to give you facts based on our hair because it's a lot different.
I'm not sure how often is best, but I wash my hair everyday and use conditioner, otherwise my hair gets tangled very bad. A gal at a salon I went to once said that if you want a really deep clean with no filmy stuff to use salon-brand shampoos and conditioners, but if you want a little shine in your hair, use stuff you get at Wal-Mart or somewhere like that.
you shold wash ur hair at least everyother day
I wash my hair twice a week and use deep conditioner also. My hair is also colored and I use a Chi every other day.
Well my dear it is ok to wash your hair wennever you think it needs it. You can wash it evan daily as long as u use a shampoo special for daily use. After you wash it with shampoo it is very impotant to use conditionar because it moisturises and detangles hair. Also it provides protection.
If u wash your hair daily you can shampoo only your roots. The foam will reach the lenght of the hair and wash it. This is a good way to prevent dry hair.
I use shampoo and conditioner everyday. It works for me.
I wash it every other day with both shampoo and conditioner. I probably should try to wash it less because mine is coloured but I stick with the products that are meant for colour treated hair so it helps.
I have long hair and have always been told not to wash my hair everyday, but it is hard not to especially in the summer and when you work out all the time.
I guess It depends on how thick or thin your hair is and where you live and what the humidity is like there. Some people can get away with it, and use a shower cap others don't wash their hair but let the water run through it to keep your hairs natural oils.
I was also told when at all possible to refrain from washing my hair every day especially in the winter. So every other day I make it an ';up-do'; hair day.
I wash mine every other day. If I do it more it gets dried out. :)
