try it and seeCan you use normal hair shampoo on rugs as a cheap alternative to carpet shampoos?
when my kids were small %26amp; still crawling I used to use liquid tide as a carpet shampoo. I used plain white vinegar as the defoamer in the used water tank of the shampooer. much much cheaper than carpet shampoo %26amp; defoamer
you can use vingar or dishwasher soap
No, You'll never get the suds out!
don't do it!
simply buy some carpet shampoo and use 1/2 the recommended amount

I wouldn't I would think it might have unwanted additives that might make the rug greasy (think conditioners). Maybe you could try Woolite liquid.
Never thought of that but try it and let us know!
