Is there such thing as hair darkening shampoo?
I have dark blond hair, but i'd like it to be a little more brunette (right now its sort of an in-between color). I don't want to dye it and have to deal with roots. Which products have you tried, and do they work?Is there such thing as hair darkening shampoo?

depending on the color, if you had to lighten your hair to obtain the color if the color is bright or temporary then yes it will wash out more quickly. if its black dye i wouldnt really worry about it it would not wash out as easily.

If your problem is male pattern baldness, there is nothing you can do, it is inevitible. Look at your Dad or other members of the family, Grand parents on either side? Are any of the males bald, or went bald early?
If you are young, whatever you do, do not get into the trap of trying to hide it, you'll find it harder later to reveal the truth as it gets worse, and end up with a flap. This is from someone who almost fell into that trap. Then one day I just had it cut short. I'd already started developing (without truly realising how obvious it looked) a bit of a front flap, like a big fringe. Best thing I ever did, cutting it short. Suddenly I didn't care if it was a windy day, didn't walk around constantly rearranging it.
If it is alopecia, see a doctor, it can be treated.
You don't need to cut it really short as in Grant Mitchel and look like a thug if you don't want, just neat and tidy, with no obvious cover up.

It depends on what texture your hair is. I have three sisters and each of us have different texture hair. My hair is coarser and tighter curls, so prefer Pantene products, primairly deep conditioning. When I wash it, I comb the conditioner in with my fingers and it helps get rid of the tangles...leave it in for a few mintues, rinse, and then style your hair with whatever product you use. I don't use a comb or brush when styling so it leaves the curls intact, instead of combing them frizzy. But then again, it's all what texture your hair is, if your scalp/hair is dry or oily, how often you wash it, and if you have a relaxer in it.What do you guys think is the best hair shampoo for ethnic hair, or just mixed hair.?

I used a good quality hair dye from Sally's Beauty Supply, and dyed my virgin hair from light brown to a super dark brown (using permanent hair dye). I use organix shampoo and condioner, but its not good for dyed hair, so does anyone have suggestions?

I would recommend a purple shampoo. Biolage has one called ';So Silver'; and Paul Mitchell has one called Platinum.
Purple is on the oposite side of the color wheel from gold and yellows so it combats and neutralizes those tones you dont want.

1) wet all your hair first with warm water (too hot or too cold water is not good for your scalp or hair either, btw.)
2) take a small amount of shampoo in your wet hands, rub and lather into your the roots of your hair only.
3) rinse thoroughly and repeat, (the first shampoo lifts the dirt, the second removes it) unless you have dry hair, then only shampoo once.
4) after thoroughly rinsed, comb through conditioner from roots to tip (unless you have oily hair, then start from about an inch from roots through to tips), concentrating on the tips.
5) leave in for three to five minutes to soak and work through
6) rinse throughly and smoothly, keeping your hair straight, not in a rough scrubbing motion.
7) comb while wet.
8) once dry, finger-comb your hair to avoid frizz and style.
never tie up wet hair, you'll just cause it damage, don't sleep in wet hair either.

No, I think it's a good question!! I think this one is a bit of a split camp of opinion. I have short, bleached hair which I use a lot of product in therefore, unless I want to leave the house looking like a scarecrow in the morning I have to wash it every day. If you have longer more manageable hair that isn't so ';product dependent'; there probably isn't the need. With regular washing the one thing I have discovered is that you really have to cater for the needs of your hair shampoo/conditioner wise - that doesn't necessarily mean spending a fortune but does mean that you have to take into consideration the condition of your hair, for example, if it is dry then a good nourishing shampoo/conditioner will be in order, if it tends to be frizzy then you may need something to combat the extra friziness that may be caused by regular washing and heat drying. It probably is true that some level of natural condition is lost by regular washing but to be honest with the amount of miracle products on the market , used wisely, no-one will ever know!

To be honest when you do wash it you are only supposed to wash your scalp and let the soapy water run down the length of your hair(never pile hair on the head it causes breakage). I wash my hair about2-3 times a week and use sweet almond oil as a leave in (about 2 drops) smoothed through my hair. i have almost waist length and that is silky soft.

Awe!!! Congratulations! For both of my children I washed their hair the first night I had them home. I got into a really nice routine where I would bring them upstairs into my bedroom. I would lay down a soft blanket and take a small bucket of warm water - and with a wash rag I would gently massage their hair. I would then rinse the rag out with clean warm water and then massage the soap out of the hair. After I was finished, I would wash their bodies (covering the exposed parts so that they would not get too cold). When they were gently patted dry I would put on some Johnson %26amp; Johnson's Lavendar Nightime Lotion. They smelled so sweet!!! It was a wonderful way to get them ready to settle down for the night :)

I've never heard that. We've washed my son's head from the beginning. We just make sure to rinse it very well since it can dry out the skin. We just put some on a washcloth and rubbed it on his head and then used a clean washcloth to wipe it off well.

I washed my babies right away. I use gerber shampoo. I also put lotion on her head after. But before put lotion on brush her scalp with a soft-bristle brush to remove the dead skin cells. It helps prevent cradle cap.

By the way do not worry about the soft spot. It is much thicker than most people realize. There is no more danger of hurting her there than rubbing her tummy.

So, whoever told you that crap about how you're not supposed to wash their hair until they're 2mos did not know what they were talking about. Also, I'd imagine her hair probably stinks really bad right now. Go ahead and wash it, just make sure you use tear free baby shampoo. I've been washing my sons hair since he came home from the hospital, but only maybe 2-3x a week bc I don't want his scalp to dry out.education loans

Don't listen to everyone else on here, there's nothing wrong with pubic hair. If you like it, keep it, if you don't like it, get rid of it. If it wasn't supposed to be there, it wouldn't grow there. It keeps nasty stuff out of your girly parts.
Anyway, no shampoo, it's way too harsh for the area. It's very irritating. Use a very gentle soap, like Dove, on the outside only. Nothing scented, either. You're just asking for a vaginal or urinary tract infection otherwise.
I like to use shampoo. Soap is harsher on such a delicate area. Shampoo also washes off easier than soap so you are less likely to get irritations from soap residue.
No reason to use conditioner, however, except just to make the area feel softer. But it's best to use fewer things in that area to lessen the risk of residue irritation.

i first use special dandruff shampoo that i find at beauty supply store.
then i use conditioner ( panteen pro v)
then i blow dry it and comb it
then i straighten it (dont burn yourslef, it hurts. ouch)

I like to use shampoo. Soap is harsher on such a delicate area. Shampoo also washes off easier than soap so you are less likely to get irritations from soap residue.

i first use special dandruff shampoo that i find at beauty supply store.
then i use conditioner ( panteen pro v)
then i blow dry it and comb it
then i straighten it (dont burn yourslef, it hurts. ouch)

also keep changing your pillow case EVERY night, that way the lice that's already on your pillow case wont crawl back on to your head!
Basically the best way to solve this is Patience! Lice cant live off of your furniture so they will eventually die off, but in the meantime you should put plastic on your furniture. to suffocate the lice, and if people come over they have a less chance of getting it.

My hair is pretty dry, it has a little shine but it doesn't like move in slow motion when flip it behind my shoulder or anything. I heard it was bad to shampoo your hair everyday so I decided to shampoo my hair 4 times every week but still continue to condition everyday. So like:

I myself only use Dove shampoo, then air-dry my hair, and when it's still a little wet, I use leave-in conditioner spray (if I use regular conditioner, masses of hair fall out for some unknown reason...). That leaves my hair feeling soft and looking shiny, but do whatever you do to keep your hair nice. Don't omit one if both work for you.
Shampoo.
Always use shampoo...but if your hair is getting dry, use conditioner. I use to use shampoo and conditioner everytime I would wash my hair. But I realized that using conditioner once in a while works best for me. My hair looks better.
Conditioner is better it gets tanggles out n if u put it in your hair when you get out the bath or shower.leasve it in and wash it out the next day in the shower or that night.
Shampoo...it cleans ur hair, and after all, ultimately isn't that what we all want?

essential oil, 4 drops
1. Combine everything in a pump bottle, shake gently to mix.

Water, Saponified Organic Coconut %26amp; Organic Olive Oils (w/retained Glycerin), Organic Hemp Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Citric Acid, Vitamin E.

Apple cider vinegar rinse. Mix Apple Cider Vinegar 1 part to 2 parts water, douse your hair in the shower and rinse with cold water. This makes your hair soft and shiny.
Chamomile tea bags for your eyes are great for puffiness.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE SHAMPOO to wash your hair. You can use several things that are natural such as a vinegar rinse or baking soda mixed with a gallon of water.
You can also wash your hair with conditioner. This is actually better for your hair if you have frizzy or damaged hair. The cheap conditioners such as V05 and Suave have enough detergents in them to use as shampoo plus they do not strip your hair. Check out the links below and don't believe the hype that you MUST use shampoo to clean your hair...usually people are just ignorant to something that is foreign to them so they really don't know what they are talking about because they never tried it or it doesn't sound possible to them.
You need to wash your hair with shampoo regardless...This is an essential for hygiene. You only really need to wash your hair 3 times a week, so why not just do that and you will keep the shampoo for longer? Thats what I do.
